THE SUCCESS STORY

In 2011, the family of Helmut Rettenmeier decided to purchase the location Polomka from the Rettenmeier Group. The company was renamed from “Rettenmeier Polomka Timber s.r.o.” to “myWood Polomka Timber s.r.o.

In 2013, myWood put its first pellet line into operation, laying the foundation for the sustainable production of pellets.

The commissioning of the new and modern M1 shuttering panel manufacturing facility significantly expanded production capacities and efficiency.

In 2016, the takeover of the production board production at the Gaildorf took place. Subsequently, all production was relocated to the main factory in Polomka, optimizing processes and leveraging synergies within the company.

In 2018, the expansion of pellet production took place to meet the increasing demand and significantly enhance production capacities.

In 2019, the location Polomka was able to produce the first UPadvanced, an important milestone in the further development of the product range.

The start-up of the new sawmill with an annual capacity of around 60.000 cubic metres per year will sustainably reduce the supply of raw materials and significantly increase production capacity.
Celebration of the 75th anniversary of family history, marked by tradition, innovation and continuous growth over several generations.

In 1949, Josef Rettenmeier started trading logs and took over the small sawmill in Wört.
In 1961, the first 3-layer switchboards for concrete construction were produced at the Gaildorf.

In 1970, the construction of the sawmill in Willburgstetten began. Using latest technology at the time, an annual cut of approximately 75,000 cubic metres was achieved.

At the Holzwerk Lutz in Gaildorf, in addition to the construction of a bark incineration, a production department for the production of porduction boards for the block concrete industry was added in 1973.

Holzwerke Lutz was taken over by Rettenmeier Wilburgstetten in 1996 following bankruptcy proceedings. The factory was systematically restructured and the production of 3-ply shuttering panels was relocated to Slovakia.

In 2004, Helmut Rettenmeier succeeded in acquiring the shares from the American fund and successfully integrating the factory – today's headquarters – into the Rettenmeier Group.

In 2006, the location Polomka was expanded to include a P20 formwork beam production. The production in this segment has been growing steadily.

On 12 January 2006, the company founder died in a hospital bed surrounded by his family. Four days later, more than a thousand guests gave him his last escort in his hometown Wört.
